Our Story

Dr.Rikh founded Kona’s Loving Paws out of a deep understanding of the bond we share with our pets—and how important it is to honor that bond at every stage of life.

Her inspiration came from her beloved dog, Kona, whose courage through illness and aging taught her the beauty and meaning of compassionate care. When it came time to say goodbye, Kona passed peacefully at home, surrounded by love. That moment, though heartbreaking, showed Dr. Rikh how meaningful it is for pets and their families to share that final chapter in a familiar, comforting space.

Since 2021 Dr. Rikh and her team have been helping families navigate their pets’ end-of-life journey with dignity, grace, and understanding. Through in-home euthanasia, she strives to provide the same peace, comfort, and love that she was able to give her own special companion.

Kona's Loving Paws is a home euthanasia practice serving Columbus, Ohio and its surrounding cities. We are dedicated to helping you say goodbye to your beloved furry family member in the most dignified, comfortable and peaceful way. We provide evening and weekend appointments for your convenience.
