Milo
Milo was our sweet, handsome and fluffy boy. He loved meat, apples, peanut butter kongs, the occasional Chic-Fil-A french fry and his “lovey” squeaker toys. He was also an anxious boy who was not a fan of the heat, storms, fireworks or high energy people/animals. But, if you were his family or someone’s energy he liked, boy you were lucky to receive his love, attention and get to pet his soft, fluffy fur. He could often be seen prancing around either hoping for a treat or even when it was cold out or the first snow was in the air. He loved the snow and we hope a giant field of it awaited him on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Our Milo loved to play hide and seek or “run after me with my lovey toy in my mouth” with our daughter. He loved sitting in front of our son or hanging in the bonus room getting some good pets and love from him. Milo loved checking the mail and patio time with my husband. He loved walks, “helping me unload the groceries” and getting dried with a towel from me. He was always checking on his people and could be found laying half way in between family members when everyone was on different levels in our home. We had the privilege of caring for, loving and being loved by Milo or Mimi as we sometimes called him for almost 8 years. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge on October 16th, which happens to be our former dog, Coral’s birthday. We hope they enjoyed some ham and a peanut butter Kong together. We are so grateful that a neighbor told us about Kona’s Loving Paws. Dr. Rikh was able to accommodate us into her late night schedule on the night that Milo told us it was time and when our college kids could be home. Dr. Rikh was amazing. She took the time to learn about Milo and then gently and compassionately walked us through the process. She gave space for us to express our feelings and we didn’t feel rushed in the process. She kindly guided us with compassion and expert knowledge through one of the hardest decisions and moments in our lives. We are forever grateful to her and this special service that allowed us to not put additional stress and worry on our Milo and gave us the ability to all be at home together one last time. Milo will be missed and will always be in our hearts.
With Our Deepest Gratitude,
Nicole Ernest and Family
