Patch
“We adopted Patch when my husband and I were in our last months of college. From there, Patch has been there with us for multiple houses, a baby, and plenty of other pets. Patch was patient and kind with all of our animals, especially our other dog Emmy. They played hard the first three days they were together and then became best friends. Patch had some memorable moments over the years including pooping on the rug in our first home before we were even moved in, peeing on me in the bathroom one morning when he was still half asleep, and knocking me on my butt when he pulled the leash to chase a squirrel when we lived in our townhome. When he was younger, we enrolled him in agility training, and he loved it! Although I sometimes had to hide while my husband worked with him or he would leave the group and come running to sit in my lap. He was a smart dog too, learning to retrieve his toys by name or color.
I know everyone thinks their dog is the greatest (and they are absolutely right), but Patch was really one of a kind who became so embedded our hearts and souls. It hurts that he’s no longer with us, but the love we shared will forever be felt and remembered.”
Thanks,
Matt and Ashley Marquis
