Ellie and Pippa

Two Peas in a Giant Pod: Remembering Ellie and Pippa
Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to our two beautiful Irish Wolfhounds, Ellie and Pippa, who came into this world to bring joy and left it the exact same way; together. They were truly two peas in a pod, never out of each other's sight or beyond an eye’s glance.
They filled our lives with laughter, massive muddy paws, and the most amazing memories we could have asked for. They were a perfect balance of two beautiful souls. Pippa found her peace in the quiet of the woods and spent hours lying by the front door, calmly watching the world go by. Ellie, on the other hand, was our social butterfly. She craved the attention of every person and dog she met, barking enthusiastically at everything that passed. And without fail, Pippa was always right there by her side, acting as her loyal barking backup.
Their true devotion shone brightest when things got tough. In 2023, when Pippa was diagnosed with heart failure, Ellie became her patient, gentle guardian, slowing down her own pace on walks to match her sister’s. The doctors told us she had between 6 months to a year, but she stayed strong for over 3 years just to be by Ellie's side. And when this August brought Ellie’s diagnosis of bone cancer, Pippa returned the favor, never leaving her side.
Their love was a fierce, unbreakable bond. They hung on for each other through it all, and when the time came, they passed away together. They came into our lives as a team, and they crossed the rainbow bridge as one. Run free in the mud, sweet girls. You are missed beyond measure.
