Max

Max, aka “Mr. Maxi” came to my grandmothers kennel in 2009 as a rescue, from the second I saw his big eyes and huge slobbery toothy smile, I knew he was going to be my best friend.

He was always ready to show you his high fives, cover you in kisses, or face you in an intense boxing match, or even to just sit with you and listen.

His favorite thing to do was to chase any small critter that wandered into the yard, snakes and skunks couldn’t stand a chance against the mighty max in his younger days. 13 years later and at the ripe old age of 15 1/2, max finally started to decline.. not letting a single thing stop him from enjoying his last days just as he had all his others. Napping in the sun, enjoying the warmth of the sun cover his back and paws, Sitting with his family and doggie brother, and enjoying every hug and kiss given to him…

I love you maxi <3 Dr. Rikh was amazing during the process, helping him and everyone to feel comfortable during this time. I highly recommend her :)[/et_pb_text][dsm_icon_list list_layout="horizontal" _builder_version="4.27.4" _module_preset="default" global_colors_info="{}"][dsm_icon_list_child text="f" font_icon="||divi||400" icon_color="#000000" icon_font_size="22px" url="https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https://www.konaslovingpaws.com/post/__max" url_new_window="on" _builder_version="4.27.4" _module_preset="default" text_text_color="RGBA(255,255,255,0)" global_colors_info="{}"][/dsm_icon_list_child][/dsm_icon_list][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type="1_2" _builder_version="4.27.4" _module_preset="default" global_colors_info="{}"][et_pb_image src="https://www.konaslovingpaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Max_.jpeg" title_text="Max_" disabled_on="on|on|off" _builder_version="4.27.4" _module_preset="default" border_radii="on|10px|10px|10px|10px" box_shadow_style="preset1" global_colors_info="{}"][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version="4.27.4" _module_preset="default" global_colors_info="{}"][et_pb_column type="4_4" _builder_version="4.27.4" _module_preset="default" global_colors_info="{}"][et_pb_text _builder_version="4.27.4" _module_preset="default" header_font="||||||||" header_3_font="Cormorant Garamond|600|||||||" header_3_text_color="#000000" header_3_font_size="40px" global_colors_info="{}"]

EllieEllie was our sweet, anxious mess who never turned down a piece of cheese.  We got her as a small white floof from a local rescue agency and she was all ears. We were hoping she would grow into her ears- turns out she did get long legs but kept her ears. She...

Buster

Buster From the time our daughter was five years old she wanted a puppy. I resisted, stating that a dog needs room to run, and our nice little spot in Grandview wasn’t enough space for a dog. We moved out of town to a great new place with less traffic, a big fenced in...

Oscar

Oscar I tried to capture 19 years of our lives together in just a few photos. Oscar was a rambunctious, adventurous soul, and I feel so lucky that he was my first dog. We traveled the country together, hiked through many parks, and shared so many wonderful moments....
