Bentley Bacon
Bentley Bacon Brisket Pastrami Salami (and very recently, Drumstick)
Named after the foods he stole in his youth, he loved chasing wildlife he never caught, herding his humans into the kitchen when delicious foods were cooking, and howling with his human mom. He was always there during the hard times, providing emotional support and comfort. He loved the outdoors, and could often be seen outside on a nice day with his eyes closed, nose up, sniffing the fresh air, and just enjoying life. His favorite song was Breathe by Pink Floyd.
He enjoyed watching sunrises and sunsets. During his outdoor springtime brushings, he single-handedly increased the bird population by supplying premium nesting material to most of the area birds, who were often seen fighting over his fur tufts.
The soothing sound of his gentle nighttime snoring served as a living sound machine and a natural sleep aide. His ears felt like velvet. He was a great cuddle buddy. He was kind, loving, gentle, and loyal. His heart was pure.
He was the most amazing best friend a girl could ever ask for. There are so many fun memories over his 17 years, like the time we had sub-zero temps and made homemade snow booties out of baby socks, Ziploc bags, and hairbands.
He is so dearly missed every day by his humans, and will continue to be loved and cherished forever. His memory serves as a reminder to take a little time for ourselves, to get outside and enjoy a nice day, take in the sounds of nature, and close your eyes and enjoy the breeze.
