Gertrude
Gertrude Rosemary was found on an old cabin porch. She was rescued with her momma and two extra fluffy siblings. Gerdy was in need of a home and I was in need of a fur baby. So, it just worked out. We started our adventure together at the end of 2014. We got through break-ups, job loss, and death together. And in all of that, she saved me. In the last couple of years, Gerdy really got to live her best life. She had the two best moms, three meals a day (at least), and the most amount of love any cat could fathom! I know that we gave her all of the love to take with her until we get there. Gerdy’s second momma gave her the nickname Turtle, and I think she loved that. Her second momma would sing-song to her and she would come running. Every song was for Turtle. Her favorite activity for the last few months was to get outside, roll around, and bask in the sunshine. For our last act of love for our sweet Turtle, was to say good-bye. The sun was shining so bright that evening. I think it was shining just for her to go home. Our Turtle will forever be in our hearts. There is Gerdy sized hole that can’t quite be filled, but memories will tuck in there for now. We love you, little babe.
