Harper Lee
Harper was put to rest on Monday evening around 8pm.
I adopted Harper my sophomore year of college the week I moved into my first apartment. I named her Harper Lee because To Kill a Mockingbird was my favorite book. Her nickname was Beans because her toes looked like little bubblegum jellybeans.
She was my constant over the last 14 years, even when everything else was chaos. Our favorite place in the whole world was together on the couch with her asleep between my legs or in my arms. She was so sweet and so funny. She screamed instead of meowed, loved cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets, sleeping under blankets, toe rubs, getting brushed, playing outside, watching tv, and taking car rides. She was one of a kind, my baby, and soulcat. I will miss her forever.
Thank you for this beautiful experience when saying goodbye to Harper.
Regards,
The Moritz Family
