Lemieux
She was born a few months before our first grandson Evan, so they grew up together and shared a special bond. When Janice quit working outside the home to help with the grandkids, Lemi followed her around the house, “helping” with whatever needed to be done. In the early days, she would lay next to baby Evan…close, but not too close.
When COVID hit and we all worked from home, Lemi was my work buddy. She would typically lay right next to me as I put in my work day from my home office.
It took a while for Lemieux to warm up to people. However, she loved Janice’s mom and my parents. When they were over, Lemi always came to see them and had a little bunt for them.
We will miss her galloping down the hallway and jumping on the bed as we were drifting off to sleep. Batting Janice on top of the head to get her up in the morning to feed her. Circling the kitchen floor as my coffee maker ground beans knowing it was time for her Greenies treats. Warming herself by the fireplace as we watched TV. Mostly I will miss her trill she used to always greet us.
There are so many wonderful memories that we will hold dearly. Lemi was a special kitty and will be missed. We are grateful for her and the life she shared with us.
