Marley

Marley Keeney Andrews Anderson

🐾 December 13, 2008 – August 24, 2025 🐾

Our sweet boy, Marley, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his two moms on August 24, 2025. He was born on December 13, 2008, and for more than sixteen and a half years, he filled our lives with unconditional love, joy, and loyalty.

Marley was more than just our dog – he was our family, our companion, and our comfort through every season of life. He was truly one of a kind. He rarely turned down a snack – pepperoni, popcorn, peanut butter filled pretzels, Doritos, and of course his special treat of a cheeseburger and fries from McDonald’s. He always wanted (and demanded) the last few bites of ice cream we had. He loved car rides, being outdoors, long walks, and sunbathing on the back porch. He could spend hours chasing squirrels and rabbits through the yard. And every day without fail, he made it his mission to bark at the mailman. So much so, that one jump ended with him tearing his ACL and earning himself several surgeries to repair.

Marley loved his cuddles, sleeping with us every night curled up by our side, stealing covers, and giving the best snuggles. But he was also a little king who liked his space, letting us know when he preferred to curl up on his own. He was spunky and rambunctious, yet endlessly gentle and kind. He had the sweetest soul and the heart of a protector. Everywhere we went, people thought he was still a puppy, and he kept that spark all the way until his last day.

He leaves behind two mommies, Ashlee and Whitney, who loved him endlessly, his little sister, Amelia, who will always know she was blessed to have shared her earliest days with the best big brother, his “old” mom and dad, Heather and Jonathon, his “brother cousin” Preston, and his sweet mawmaw and pawpaw.

Words can’t begin to describe what he meant to us or the weight of this loss. He was the best boy, and our hearts will forever be broken because we had to say goodbye. But we will always be grateful for the years of love, laughter, and memories he gave us.

Run free, sweet boy. We love you.
