Mr. Scoots

Scooter, also known as Mr. Scoots, Scoots la Toots, Tooter, Mr. Chow, Scootie Bear, etc. I got Scooter from a farm at just 12 ounces. He was abandoned by his mom…a dirty little nugget with fleas. Ears barely formed and big blue eyes. I instantly loved him, and I became his mom. He was my constant shadow – always with me, followed me everywhere and I can honestly say took on my personality. When I was mad, he was mad and when I was happy, he was happy. He also took on traits of a dog, because he would play fetch with a milk ring or hoodie string. He also loved to be outside, and the little stinker would try to sneak out every chance he got. He made me laugh frequently and I would tell him “Scoots, I think you may have been Freddy Mercury in a past life” – because he loved Queen and would purr if sung too. Spoiled and loved on every day of his life – he was treated like a king. I will surely miss him, and a piece of my heart will forever be empty until we meet again.

Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eye

Oscar

Oscar I tried to capture 19 years of our lives together in just a few photos. Oscar was a rambunctious, adventurous soul, and I feel so lucky that he was my first dog. We traveled the country together, hiked through many parks, and shared so many wonderful moments....
