Prince Moffat

2009-2023: Our handsome Prince came into our lives in March of 2010. We don’t know his exact date of birth because we adopted him from the Franklin County Dog Shelter. We fell in love with him at first sight! He was so rambunctious that we questioned whether we would be able to handle him. But as the weeks went on our love grew and he became part of our family.

I know everyone says they have the best dog, but I truly believe we did! Prince’s demeanor was like no other. He was the sweetest boy and he loved everyone he met. LiLa, our little Yorkie, was his best friend; they were inseparable. When our daughter’s friends visited, he would hang out with them all night. He always wanted to be part of the crowd and be in the action. Prince loved car rides, daily walks, stuffed animals, and chewing on his yummy bones.

Prince had Cushing’s Disease which resulted in the difficult decision to let him go. We saw him slowly lose his energy which he had an abundance of. He was not feeling well at all, and he no longer took interest in all the things he loved. This is when we contacted Dr. Rikh who was very accommodating, patient and kind.

Dr. Rikh of Kona’s Loving Paws was wonderful throughout the entire memorial. When she first arrived, she spent time with Prince and got to know his wonderful personality. She explained everything thoroughly and asked for our permission before proceeding to the next step in the procedure. We truly don’t believe we could have gone through this without her love and support. Prince went to “doggie heaven” in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family and he passed peacefully.

Dr. Rikh arranged to have our precious boy transported to the Forever Pets Crematory directly after his passing. Forever Pets wrapped Prince in a pretty, soft, and cuddly blanket. It was such a comfort knowing he would be cared for after leaving our home.

We cannot thank Dr. Rikh enough for her loving presence and care while we said our last goodbyes. We are so grateful and fortunate to have found Kona’s Loving Paws. We would not hesitate to have her do another memorial in the future.

We know Prince is barking, playing, an endless run and up in heaven having fun!
