Shemp
He was an easy going dog who readily got along with any new animals who joined our family. He loved going on car rides and he thought he was driving while he stood in between the front seats. Until he got too old to do so, he would jump up on us to greet us when we got home, so you had to be prepared for it.
He had a high tolerance for cold weather. He would lie outside in the snow in 11 degree weather chewing on a bone and would refuse to come inside until HE decided to – even if he was out for almost an hour.
He was also the only dog we’ve ever had who would sing along with some tones. I recorded him once and played it for him and he sang a duo with himself.
He had a real joy of life and he will be sorely missed.
