Stella

Stella Lucyshyn recently passed away on May 1, and she lived a very fulfilling life. She was rescued from the streets of Columbus in 2012. For five years she lived with two loving parents and with other fur brothers and sisters. In January 2017, Stella‘s original parents made a difficult decision to re-home Stella, and through fate we had the opportunity to welcome her to our home and give her a new sister, Sphinx. We enjoyed nine great years with her, learning and laughing at all of her little quarks. She loved sitting at the back door staring, as the world passed by, and finding the best sun spots to warm herself during the day. She loved hunting the red laser dot and rarely grew tired of chasing it. We spent many warm summer nights with her outside in her playpen, and cold winter evenings laying together in the blankets.
Stella lived to the beat of her own drum, but surely knew how to make connections with everyone she met. Though she is gone, her spirit lives on in our memories, and we can’t wait to reunite with her again.
